Question

Scans on Win10

Apr 13, 2017 9:19AM PDT

I had an outfit check my PC and they ran a scan that showed a Trojan Virus and a Hacker in the system. They supposedly have been removed, but I would like to check it myself to make sure.Does anyone know how to do that? It is not the sfc/scan.

I use Grif's list.

Not Grif's list

What I am asking about is an onboard scan that is part of win10, not using an external program,

The only one I know of is the Defender scan

But that won't get rid of the stuff you're talking about .
You should listen to what R. Proffitt says, Grif's method WILL do the job right.

The onboard scan misses a lot of malware.

I've yet to find one scan to rule them all. Grif puts together a list that gets the scans we need.

Onboard scan

Well, the onboard scanner caught a Virus and a Hacker, that Bitdefender and Superantispyware missed, but that is not the issue. I would just like to know how to run that scan. So does anyone know how to do that?

We don't know what onboard scanner you're talking about

scanner

I may be using the wrong name for it, but it is the only name i can think of.
Here is one that I do know and have used.
"cmd prompt / open as admin. / type sfc/scannow / enter"
and it will scan for broken and corrupt files.
The one I'm looking for, I did not see what command was typed in, but among other things it detected a Trojan Virus and a Hacker.

Maybe

chkdsk/f ......run that in the Administrator Command Prompt

That's the only other one I can think of , but that fixes things but not
" Trojan Virus and a Hacker " .
