Scanning Slides

by lwbeat / November 19, 2006 1:32 AM PST

I have nearly 5,000 slides taken between 1970 and 1980. I want turn them into digital images before they deteriorate. Are there any scanners that are specially designed for this process?

They aren't likely to be cheap, but they do exist. Might not hurt to check with the local library, see if they have one you could use... Or if you're lucky enough to live near a university, you can poke around, see if any of the departments have one they'd let you use.
