My Canon Lide 30 scanner 4 years ago already came with software that could scan to pdf. After each page I've got the choice to scan a new page into the same pdf-file (which is what you mean when you talk about Adobe Reader) or stop (if I've scanned all pages).
What software did your scanner come with? What scanner is it?

How do you scan more than document into a single email attachment? When I scan, I save each document into the same folder. Then I go to email and attach each one. So I wind up with several attachments, as the attachment process will not let me attach the file itself but instead each individual document separately. However, I have received single email attachments with more than page within, particularly if the attachment opens to Adobe.
