Scannig to MS Office Applications Using HP All-in-One Units

Jan 9, 2010 3:33AM PST

I'm trying to find software that will allow me to scan editable documents into MS Word. My PC platform is Vista. HP tells me to follow their instructions, but their instructions are for the new F4400 series All-in-One units and nothing they give me allows me to select MS Word, or any Office Application.
I have looked on the CNET website and I see Textbridge 11, but it says it's only for XP. Are there any software titles out there, off the shelf or download, that will allow me to scan into MS Office Applications, using Vista with the 2575?

Would upgrading to WIN 7 permit that use?

Also, does MS have a WIN 7 Upgrade that will permit 3 users?

Scanners-Office

Again, I thank you.
However, regardless of MS says, I believe the problem is with HP.
They do not seem to include the MS Office Suite in their software installation of the All-in-one units. I have had it with their technical help, as they just don't get the problem. That's why I contacted CNET Forum to see if anyone can suggest a 3rd party program that would allow the scanners to scan into MS Office Applications.
Thanks again.

What do you mean with from and to? If you scan from Word, the result of the scan will be a Word document on your screen with the scanned contents, ready for File>Save. That's what you want, I think.

Indeed, some faxes come with software that lets you initiate the process from the scanner in stead of from Word. But personally I wouldn't mind what button to press or menu item to choose as long as I can get the result I want.

Think of the difference of push (initiate by the scanner software, push into Word) and pull (initiated by Word, pulled into Word). I don't care about the difference. Do you?
