Scanner to PDF

Hi All,

I'm running XP-SP2 and I've got an HP 6310 all-in-one OfficeJet with a sheet feeder. Any recommendations for a solid, low cost software which will allow me to scan multipage documents into searchable PDF files? The software that came with the all-in-one keeps crashing and the HP recommended fix looks like a half day job with no guarantee of success.

I'd fix the crashing.

I've used such from HP without crashing. To rule out your PC as the issue find a PC with a factory installed OS.
