Question

Scaling problem

Feb 18, 2016 8:05AM PST

When I scale to 175 % in windows 10 I have several issues.

1 ) Constantly locks up.
2) It takes about 3 minutes for my network drives to connect.
3) I cant access certain items from the control panel.

If I scale it back to 150 it seems to work fine but I often remote desktop into the computer so I cant change the scaling when using RDP. Does anyone have a solution to this?

Thanks.

Answer
True.

Drivers and apps do tend to be problematic here. You have to work with the makers of these drivers and apps to get a fix. The code is not open source so you and I can't tinker and fix it.

Other fixes would be to change the hardware that has working drivers.

Is there anything I can do except wait for new drivers.

Any Idea which drivers? Network, Display? Would it be helpful to get a new video card or network card? Or will they have the same driver issues?

If I were to bet, video and printer drivers.

Without diving into how Windows works, I'd look at both. If it must be solved get your IT on it to make all those calls. Here I'd just slide in another PC. It's cheaper today.
