Question

Scale up size for external monitor

Aug 24, 2014 3:24AM PDT

I moved in with some friends of mine the other day and we've been watching movies, etc. using our laptops through the HDMI.

So, I was wondering if there was a way to make it so that the desktop, etc. is to the same scale on the TV (icons and their text, text in browsers and the like).

I'm running Windows 7 (Home Premium) if that helps.

Thanks Happy

Icon setting

A quick test would be to change the current laptop icon display to be larger, just select large. This should be under the system setting area and locate the icon "size" and play with it. If I'm wrong, please google changing icon size. When connected to your TV itin should appear like the laptop/desktop. I can assume you're not getting to extremes, because the setting I offered is very basic, but you can try to see if that helps. However, on the TV there is nothing you can do that affects the laptop output as i understand it.
