SBC Yahoo blinking light

On our 2wire modem, we have SBC Yahoo DSL. We do a lot of uploading and downloading, and occasionally the broadband connection light on the 2wire modem will blink amber about ten times every minute, then go back to being solid green. Does anyone know what this is, or should I call SBC Yahoo to figure it out? Because we want it to stop blinking.

a loss of connection or Sync. You need to contact SBC, explain the problem, and let them test the service.

Any other way?

Is there any other way to find out where the problem lies? When it starts blinking, I still have internet service, so it's still connected.

The only close deduction I could make was that SBC has some sort of upload cap or limit? Any ideas?
