saving web pages

what is this link that i see when i save web pages (gif format)? can i save the web pages in another format and see it later, we don't want these links because they cause problems when we do our backups? any experience in getting around this issue would really be appreciated. thanks

You don't save a web page as a gif, though you can save a gif from a web page. You can save a web page as an HTML document and the associated images in a folder or from Internet Explorer you can save a web page in MHT format which is a singlre file.

Please explain what you are attempting to do. Don't iknow what "link" you are refeerring to.
