Saving print settings for a single document

Feb 25, 2007 11:38PM PST

I've tried and tried but can't find a way to do this!

I want some of my documents to print duplex but only some of them. How can I save this into an individual .doc file so that I don't have to manually specify duplex every time I print it?

Many thanks!

Sorry, I should have specified - this is Word 2003.

Haven't found this to be a feature of Word.

Windows remembers this in it's "space", but Windows didn't provide an easy way to save it.

It is however possible to whip up VBA code to print using your selections, but some don't want to work that hard.

-> Let me be clear. If I take my doc to another machine the settings don't stick. In fact if the printer is another model the document can repaginate to fit the new printer metrics. What this means is that Word is a poor typesetter. You need to look at PUBLISHING or TYPESETTING programs to gain that level of control.
