Software that did do this is no longer made (ie MagicMover.)
However most discover they should clone said drive and then repair the OS. There is also Open Office.
-> Bottomline. If it is legit then you have rights to the media from it's maker or Microsoft. If you don't have such rights then you won't be able to get the media and the all important CDKEY.

I have a legal and registered copy of MS Office on my Windows XP computer (it was pre-installed when the computer was purchased). However I did not receive any Disks.
I now need to reFORMAT the computer and I obviously need to preserve the MS Office software but do not know how to do this.
I can copy the program to my external hard drive but as I understand it this will leave elements of the program missing and if I also copy over the Windows operating files I will probably also be transferring the virus I need to kill.
Help and advice please.
