Saving from Scanner

Just bought an Epson XP-332 printer/scanner and it prints well and copies OK. Just tried to transfer a scanned image from scanner to computer and it comes up with an error message saying 'Acces is Denied'. It gives a preview OK but will not save an image to the computer. Tried using new folder in Pictures documents and naming it Scanned, pointing it to there but still get the same error message. Why am I not allowed to save in my own pictures folder????

Using Win 10 on an ACER X3990 computer

I have just tried to save a picture from the web and it tells me that I do not have permission to save in the pictures folder that I chose and I must ask the administrator for permission. It also asks me if I just want to save to the pictures folder instead and when I OK that it saves but I cannot find them.
I am the administrator on this computer and it will not accept this for some reason.

Help please as a friend asked me to scan some photos of his daughter to send to America and at the moment it looks as if I will have difficulty doing that.

Re: saving

Maybe something is wrong with your Pictures folder.

A thing to try: make a new folder, directly under the root, see if you can save or copy anything to it. If that works, it should work from the scanning program also.
Or save it to some USB-stick just to send it.
