I take it the pluggable part of the drive is bent, chewed, etc.. If so, then its done in for re-use. Find a USB cable, cheap one. Strip the (required)end of cable, and pry or peel back the USB drive of its metal (pluggable)end cover. Locate the contacts and solder on leads from USB cable. In order to be correct on wiring, meter out the leads, of course you know all about that. This jerry-rigged item can now be plugged-IN and reclaim your data.
Here is a strange (w/apologies to Paul Harvey). I have a flash drive that my dog took out of the 'puter and chewed the bottom of. No really.
It no longer works in the usb port (imagine that), but it doesn't look like she actually got to the memory stick in the case. Is there any way to retrieve the information from the drive?
