Yahoo doesn't have an app today so to save pictures, well it matters which browser you are using.

Saving email photos

Sorry. Internet Explorer 11. This is a new computer with Windows 8.
Old computer was Vista and I could save email photos with one click.
This seems much more complicated. I am not that computer savvy.
Doesn't the Save picture as...function work in Windows 8?

And just to be sure

And just to be sure, since this could trip up new users, are you using the metro/modern version of IE or the desktop version of IE?

When you use IE, does it look vaguely like the screenshots at this link?

Though I will definitely say you should give some strong consideration to James' post below, as well as dumping Internet Explorer for either Firefox or Chrome. Doesn't matter which as much as it matters that you pick one or the other and use it instead of IE.

Yes the function works in Windows 8.

But as you can tell there is the Metro or modern version or the windowed version. I use Firefox for a few reasons and even if a script disables the save image on a page, there's a feature in Firefox under Page Info to save the unsaveable.

I sent myself a picture and
Aug 3, 2014 12:06AM PDT

when I opened Yahoo mail using IE 11 and opened the email, I placed the mouse button over the picture. I saw a "download" appear, clicked on it. On the bottom of the screen I saw a window open, asking me if I wanted to save the picture or open it. I selected save, and it was saved to my default location, in my case, the "download" folder.

That's it. The end.
