Resolved Question

Saved User Names and Passwords in Safari are not mine

Mar 16, 2014 11:45PM PDT

Hi -

I'm using a Safari browser on a Macbook. When I go to "Saved Passwords" under "Preferences," I noticed that recently, four websites, User Names and Passwords have been added that were not added by me. The four websites are:

Website User Name
192.168.1.22 ubnt
192.168.160.10 cuny
192.168.181.1 dgyyxbz
192.168.182.1 dgyxbz

Is this something I should be concerned about? These sites would have been added in the last 3-4 weeks.

192.168.x.y IP-addresses are part of the local area network (a company network probably). I'd contact the admin.

Moreover, since such data is specific for each user it looks like somebody used your login on that Macbook. Better change the password after you spoke to the admin.

Well, the network is my home network...so I am the admin. Would it be possible for someone to remotely access my login?
