Save as is .mpga

New install of XP pro. I was putting some of my programs back on from my backup disk and have run into this problem . I download some songs from Yahoo very old ones that are in MP3 format but when I right click and go to save target as the box that comes up has the name of the song and is a .mpga file ,and on the bottom is a Winamp media file .

It always came up before as a Mp3 file not .mpga .When I download it to my desktop it looks like a dead file like a piece of paper with the corner turned down and 6 little colors in it .Double click and nothing but I can drag it into Winamp or Real Player Plus and it will play .

I have been searching Google and the forms but can find nothing to correct this problem and I have been at this for 2 days .

I have learned how to change it after it is on my desktop to a MP3 but I want to download it as it should be .Please somebody give me some more ideas that I can try to fix this .
Thank You Muriel
