Save As defaut folder Options??

by netspirit / May 1, 2004 1:24 PM PDT

I run a PC laptop lab running Windows XP for training purposes. When using SAVE AS on some of my laptops, it takes me back to the last folder I saved in. On other laptops (imaged the same way) in my lab, I am always taken back to My Documents. Where is the option to change this?

AFAIK, there is no way to do this with Internet Explorer. However, Mozilla Firefox DOES have such a feature, and in a lab setting would make for a far better choice for numerous reasons, but primarily system security. It's also free, so there's no worries about having to pay a license fee.

The program we are working in Is ImageBlender, not Internet Explorer. As pictures are created, the particpants want to save to the same folder. Since this folder is on a server, there are about 8 clicks they have to go through to find their folder. Some of the computers will be set for the correct folder after one save. The next save opens to that folder. The other computers, same program, same image, will always go back to My Documents, even after one save. If some of these computers are doing this, there must be a setting somewhere.
