Saturn accelerates on it's own

My 2002 Saturn Sl2 likes to move on it's own. When I let off the brakes the vehicle will get up to 35 mph flatground within 30 seconds and uphill it will get up to 15 mph. After the car reaches about 35 mph it no longer speeds up. Really worried about how difficult this makes it to come to a stop.
