I believe satellite takes it's own router. Contact HughesNet for the specific router.
Just moved to new apartment and need to configure landlord's satellite connection for wireless so i can use it too.
So here is the dumb question: are there hardware considerations/limitations in type of router i need to get? also, i've learned that unlike DSL, satellite plans really have significant bandwidth and speed limitations - not sure yet of landlords plan, but let's just say it is basic HughesNet with download speed limited to 1.0 Mbps, seems it might make sense to spend less $$ and get an older router?
Many thanks for help and advice!
