If we look at the drive maker's web sites and what data they offer, you find there is no increase or decrease of MTBF or other numbers.
Most reliability issues pale in comparison to user errors, accidents, theft, virus, pests, poor installations and other problems.

I know that SATA claims to be faster than ATA (regardless of whether it really is or not, I don't care). What I was wondering is if there is any reliability difference between the drives? Also what would be a good brand of drive to go with? I'm looking for reliability here.
