That was pretty easy to find given the chipset number and google.com. Open the PDF and see what SATA is supported.

I'm getting ready to buy a hard drive for my Dell Dimension 8400. The installed drive is SATA-150, and I can't for the life of me figure out if SATA-300 is supported. I don't really know what the determining factor is, it's a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz processor, Intel 82801FR SATA AHCI controller. Standard motherboard, etc.
Is it worth getting a SATA II drive or should I just buy a 150?

No, it doesn't support SATA II (3Gb/s). The previous guys should have looked at the link he sent you, it does not tell you your answer. Here is a chart from intel that says what chipsets support which features.
