Sanyo LCD TV sound but NO picture

I have a Sanyo DP42841 and the picture went out but the sound works fine. Not very old just went out one day after leaving it on, no electrical storms. The screen is more of a dark grey rather than pitch black and the back lights seem to be working. No warning light is being triggered in the front panel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Keep in mind

That there are no user serviceable parts and any tech that wanted to fix it would not post here. They would hit the internet for service manuals and parts such as shopjimmy.com, avsforum and such. Certainly sounds like a common failure but it's not user serviceable.
