Sanyo HT30744 and Pixel Shape Issue

by Laurie24 / April 28, 2005 1:48 AM PDT

Hi, I'm wondering if this is standard for this TV, but on component inputs, when the pixel shape is changed to "zoom 1" on a widescreen DVD, on the right hand side there is a wide band of black. There is no band of black on the left hand side. When the DVD player is hooked up to the s-video and composite inputs, this is not an issue- on the "zoom 1" setting there no black on the sides and a very small amount on the top (if any). I don't understand why the right hand side has this thick black bar, and the left has nothing? It only seem to do it with the component inputs and the pixel shape set to "zoom 1"? Has anyone else noticed this issue with thier TV? I'd appreciate your thoughts and/or any fixes you've found.
Thanks!
Laurie
