Resolved Question

sansa headphone jack fix

Jan 28, 2012 7:36AM PST

I've had several sansa clip+ mp3 players and each one has had a problem with the head phone jack breaking. I have one jack that looks like it just popped off the circuit board. I can hold it on the contact points and it still works. I'm not sure if it was even soldered on. Is there any way to attach it again without soldering? Is there any kind of superglue or other product to use on the contact points. If I tried soldering I'd burn a hole right through the circuit board. My autistic boy just lost his clip Zip so I'm just trying to fix one of his old ones until I can afford to buy him a new one.

Sure. It's called wire glue.

Thanks, Bob. A coworker managed to solder it for me and my boy is very happy. I've had several Sansa Clip+ mp3 players and the headphone jack is a weak point. It's still an awesome player along with the Fuze and new Clip Zip. I like the Fuze the best because it's actually a little larger ad not so easy to lose it in the car. Unfortunately the new Fuze+ has a horrible interface so I'll be forced to find used ones on Amazon and Ebay. Thanks for the reply and I hope it helps others with the same question. Mike.
