Sandisk Sansa firmware update/computer problems?

Sep 22, 2005 10:50PM PDT

To the two or three other Sansa users out there:

I updated my Sansa firmware (makes the player much better) and my computer seemed fine. The next morning, it was so messed up that I couldn't even boot up in safe mode. Chkdsk repaired some things on the C drive and it seems to be better again.

It was probably just a coincidence, but I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem.

Could it be you got a virus?
Try Spybot S&D, and Adaware

I figured it was just a coincidence. I already ran AdAware and completely rescanned my system with AVG Anti-Virus, plus I keep pretty close tabs on my task manager tasks.

Thanks for letting me know, though. My computer seems fine now (although it doesn't seem to go to the screen saver regularly). My hard drive is probably failing. Sigh.
