SanDisk Sansa e260

Dec 28, 2008 1:39PM PST

About 2 hours ago i began researching trying to find the right mp3 player for me. Cost and durability are most important to me, so i have decided on going with the SanDisk Sansa e260 or a slightly older model.
From what i've read it seems that this is reliable. My question is, will this be able to last a long time without breaking for no reason as my ipod did, and are there any major problems with it?
Any help is appreciated.

Sansa. Not my first choice.

I had a Sansa e250 and it died. I just updated the firmware and it killed it. It won't connect to my pc and half of my music just disappeared. Just get a Sony or a Zune they are much better.

I bought 3 of them one year ago for the family. They are well made players that sound very good with an easy to use interface/menu system. Had a few sync problems due to DRM corruption, but the cause stems from multiple programs trying to manage the content. They are after all micro computers. I would recommend the Sansa e260 without hesitation.
