Oct 13, 2005 1:41AM PDT

hey guys, im having some trouble with my mp3 player, well the usb connection to be exact. ive only used the usb cable to store songs about 3-4 times. but now when i try to put songs on the player, i cant view it, still says 48 songs total when i entered 2 more. it shud have been 50. but when i connect it back on my conputer, the drive has the 50 songs. experienced this problem before but changed the usb port cable and it worked. i have 2 and none of them work. will getting a new cable help? or anyway to fix this problem?

Try using drag to disk using windows explorer. Don't use Windows Media Player. That worked for me.

Not the cable?

If you can see the Sandisk from your computer, the cable's probably OK. Try deleting all the songs, turning on and off the player, then recopying the songs over. Also, I've had much better luck when the songs were in some sub-directory rather at the root directory of the player.

The previous posts are correct.
If all else fails...Format that bad boy!!

It is a flash drive, and subject to corruption & fragmentation. Formatting cures most flash drive ills.
reformat it to fat (the 1 gig model should be fat32).
You should be good to go.

how i fixed mine

mine did that too for a while, then i figured out what was wrong. do not buy another usb cord, that wont help. on mine, it said the songs were there on the computer but not on the mp3 player, this was because i had used up all of the memory space. delete some songs (even if it says you still have more memory) and then see if the new songs are there. it worked for me, hopefully it'll work for you too.
