sandisk mp3 memory loss?

by giventwofly / May 7, 2007 6:46 AM PDT

I have a Sandisk SDMX1 512mb digital audio player. I usually use Windows Media Player to sync my mp3s to the device. It always worked properly, filling it to near capacity. Ever since I upgraded to WMP 11, it has only been filling to roughly 90 to 100 songs in WMA format (should normally hold at least 200 in WMA format). I saw there was a firmware upgrade on the Sandisk website, but that didn't help.

I have had this player for a few years now. Thought about getting a new one, but this one was a gift and would like to hold on to it.

Any suggestions on what I should try to get the player back to filling to capacity?

(an opinion I share with others.)

I use MM and syncs with my e260 with little hassle. If you use wma I believe the default bit rate WMP11 uses is 192.

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
