samung blu ray player

can some one tell me the difference between these: Samsung BD-P1500, Samsung BD-P2500 and the Samsung BD-P2550 (i know this one has been discontinued, but can still be had). samsung at cnet posted "The BD-P2500/50 does have the HQV processor, which IMO, does a better job of upscaling - sort of a "name brand" processor, which might be a better solution."
also if you see any good prices, lmk!!!
i saw the refurb 2550 for about $160 and a refurb 1500 for about $120.
p.s. i know a ps3 would probably be my best choice for a player, but didn't want to spend that much.

mtbmtb01,

Since you like the "name-brand" processing, let's compare the final two:

The only difference between the BD-P2500 and the BD-P2550 is that the 2550 version comes with Pandora (internet radio) that allows you to customize "radio stations" based on music you like by groups you like.

upscaling on 15 vs 25

Samsung_HD_Tech was the one that coined the phrase "name-brand" processing, i'm not sure what it means.
my main question is i can get a refurb 1500 for about half the price of a 2500/2550 since those refurbs are sold out. i'm relly not that insterested in netflicks or Pandora due to my blockbuster account, but it would be an added bonus for down the road. i do have many old dvd's and the upscaling would be nice. will i see that much of a better picture with the 25 vs the 15 when playing standard dvd's?
