Samsung YP-U2JZW/XAA

Does anyone have a solution as to why this MP3 player cant be read on a pc, a few months back I had to reformat my pc and I do not know if that may have anything to do with it, but I am currently running XP and I still have no clue as to why my mp3 player is not working.

I connect it takes a minute to realize its in lights up say's connecting then "Dis connected Charging" and last but not least "Do not disconnect" then it turns off and repeats itself on me.

Any solutions at all would be great.
