For a 16 year old girl I believe I would buy the Nano. If either one is a consideration in your decision, I'm sure she would rather have the gadget that is the most popular. However, I purchased the Samsung YP T9 for my wife and she absolutely loves it and we have had no problems with it (purchased 02/07). It has more features and it came in purple which was a plus!
