Restore it with Samsung's issued OS and it should work again.
If this is the usual discussion about folk hating Windows 8, again, we note CLASSIC SHELL to get that start menu back.
What I mean by unsupportable is that some machines don't have all the APPS. You may find the drivers but there is some APP by Samsung to get the Fn F12 to work. --> AGAIN, it's not a driver. It's what many call a helper APP.

I have a Samsung NP600B5B-SO2UK I have imaged with a 64bit Win 7, downloaded Samsung's driver software and this model of laptop isn't listed. Have searched online and found the model on Samsung's website.
Downloaded and installed Intel Centrino Advanced N6230 drivers and installed. It works when connected to the LAN but on wireless it does not detect any AP's. I also have another laptop (different make) running on wireless next to it with x3 wireless AP's showing as available.
I have removed all devices under networking and rebooted (leaving software) and it goes back to the same state after a reboot. I have even removed devices and software and rebooted. Nothing.
Software wireless is turned on to under Fn F12
