I purchased a new Samsung Washer and Dryer June 2014. I was thrilled that it was so quiet during operation. 2 years later it had become as loud as my old washer. In 2017 it was one of the models that had a “recall” due to to top popping off during spinning when washing bedding. Their fix was to send a label and require that you MUST wash bedding on the DELICATE setting. This means it spins at a lower speed, leaving bedding still quite wet, requiring much longer drying time. Plus, you have to remove the dispenser tray after loads and dry out entire area or you will get mold and mildew...in a washer...which is built to use water!!!! I have been doing laundry for over 50 years, owning 4 sets of washers and dryers. This is the first time I have ever had to worry about mildew. Now the hinges on the top have rusted!!!! Yes, rusted!! Again, on a machine that is supposed to be designed to be exposed to water! Shame on Samsung. I have used their phones for over 10 years and trusted them to buy this washer/dryer (which is also so noisy that it is annoying to use). I will not buy any more Samsung products of any kind again. Not only are their products horrible, I find it difficult to reach anyone to discuss the issues, and, of course, all problems began after warranty expired. So I am stuck, having spent $800+ on machines that I will have to replace. I had not planned on having to spend part of my retirement budget on another washer/dryer set. Next time, I will look for an older, more reliable, easy to service set. I just wish there was a way to make more people aware of the lack of quality and service on Samsung products so people won’t get suckered in like I did.
