Both of these tv are 720p not 1080p and they are 26". Save some money and get one that is 1080p. They are about $1K now but it will last you longer in terms of future-proof tech. Get a 32" and above.
In terms of audio performance get a receiver with 5.1 surround speakers. Don't expect great sound from the TV speakers that probably cost less than $20 to build.
Never buy refurbished because LCD have about 60000 hour life span. A refurbished set may be turned on and off repeatedly by the previous owner or left on for 24hrs a day. You are taking a huge gamble just to save maybe $200.
Also why bunny ear antenna? Get a HD cable or subscription to fill the TV.
Which one is better hdtv - Samsung LNT2653H vs. Sharp LC26D43U - (comparison between their audio & video performance)
What else do I need at home if I buy one of these tv and wanted to watch local channels - Receiver? or "bunny ear" Antenna? what brand is good to buy?
Do people should buy hdtv refurbished? or is it better to get new one? thanks!
