Samsung vs. Samsung (LCD vs DLP)

Feb 28, 2006 2:39AM PST

Alrighty, Well, I've got a Samsung LN-R238W LCD TV right now. It's a good size (23") because I've got a small appartment. This summer however, I'm going to upgrade. I want to stay with Samsung, but in checking prices, I found that either I can get a 32" LCD (LN-R328D) or a 42" DLP for the same exact money. I think the LCD would be a better TV, being Samsung's top-of-the-line LCD. Comparing that to an entry level DLP is a no brainer right? BUT does the extra 10 inches boost the value of the DLP over the LCD????

Hi John,

Any specifics yet on these new offerings? If not, PLEASE keep me abreast of your findings if you happen upon any links regarding Samsung and or Sony. I really value your informed input. I don't actually NEED a new set, but all the new bells and whistles would certainly be fun.

Thanks a million!!....Bob Happy rgpatterson@earthlink.net

Recently bought their 4272 HD plasma for under 3g's. Was looking at their 409D lcd because of the resolution. Also heard Sony and Samsung were going to do a joint venture on lcd research. What little I know, going to wait and see what Pioneer comes up with!
