JMB6010,
I tested the Hulu Plus on a BD-C6900 I have at home, and the service was available. I reset the player to factory defaults, downloaded Hulu Plus again, and it - again - worked correctly.
I'm not sure what this suggests, but the player and the service work together in a non-lab setting.
Go to the Menu > Settings > System > Clock > Manual > And set the time and date manually.
See if that helps launch Hulu successfully.
Do the other Apps connect, is your network traffic available, any firewalls, or the usual network suspects in play possibly?
it's not our intent - and especially MY intent - to send you elsewhere if I can help solve the problem. Let's see if these options help - but it may be a variable (such as a router, firewall, setting, etc) that I have no business advising you on, particularly if it concerns the security of your network.

I have a Samsung UN46C6000 and a Samsung BDC6900 Blue Ray player. I've been using Hulu Plus since Dec 2010 and for some reason I now get an error saying can't connect to Hulu Plus to check my network settings and check time and date. Hulu says it's the device, Samsung says it's Hulu. Given that limited number of worthwhile apps Samsung offers it's a huge disappointment to lose the use of Hulu. A bigger disappointment is with Samsung's lack of customer service. Long hold times means there are a lot of customers out there have a lot of trouble with their equipment and so far, all I've gotten is the brush off. Samsung's smart tv is turning out to be a huge waste of money.
