I have run into folk that alter the phone a bit too much. That is, they will put in task killer apps and then complain.
After they have complained for a few months I find they allow the cell carrier to do a full hard reset back to the carrier's installed load and apps. If there is nothing wrong with the phone, it works fine.
But then again, there are folk that can't resist tinkering or killing apps they don't want.
I've had a samsung vibrant for over a year now and I've been experiecing lag for at least one full year but just dealing with it by using a app killer. Now I will admit from time to time, I have dropped the phone. I have a protective case that has helped mostly. Either way, today I had it playing some music and it suddenly went into slow motion. Like everythng was processing on some old atari 1200xl pc.
So now when it boots up, it loads some apps and then after a min or so goes into super lag mode. For example, if I attempt to unlock the phone the screens slowly tick as if its struggling to load each frame of the image.
I've attempted to pull the battery on the phone, pull the battery with the sim card and memory with a reboot, pulled everything and held down the power button to drain any from the otherboard with a reboot. None of that did anything.
Now I did notice that if I let it boot up and not close all of the applications that automactially load up, it works fine for a few minutes. But if I close them, it will become real slow, vibrate three times, and after a minute become so unresponsive I have to reboot it again.
So is my phone toast? Any solutions?
