According to the manual, 240p is not supported for any of the inputs. I can't say if it would work for any specific game console, that would require trial and error testing. I just don't have further information that that.
Hello, I'm a vintage gamer thinking about getting a UNB8500. As some may know video game consoles like the original Nintendo and Super Nintendo did not output a 480i video signal from their games, but rather sub-SD, progressive scan resolutions such as 240p. How would this model handle these kinds of signals over the Component Video Input?
Does it go through the same number of processing steps as a 480i signal over Component (perhaps getting line-doubled to 480 and then a deinterlacing treatment before being scaled to the TV's native resolution), or is it treated properly as its own unique signal (scaled straight to 1080p from 240p; no deinterlacing or line-doubling thrown into the mix)?
