Samsung UN65js8500, 4KSHUD HDR problem

by shubmsp / December 12, 2016 3:25 PM PST

I've been trying to trigger HDR on my TV, and although a Samsung moderator on the said I had HDR capability, I have not been able to turn it on. Here is what the moderator told me:
Samsungjam said:
" It supports HDR. If you are watching something on Netflix it will switch automatically. If you want to watch something from an external device, you will want to turn on the option from the picture settings. "

Now, this moderator must know his stuff, but I am still waiting for a step by step instruction from the picture settings menu to accomplish this. I see nowhere a option to turn on HDR!!!

Please Help Me get this this turned on!

Did you call Samsung on this one?

Sometimes they need a report "It's not working" to check into this. They should have you check for current firmware, date/time settings and if your network can deliver Netflix at the required 25 megabit speed. notes this but you'll want 2X that to be sure.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
