Question

Samsung un65h8000 af help!

Jul 31, 2016 9:09PM PDT

Hello. Just wondering if anyone here could possibly give me a hand. I have a 65" Samsung curved tv that until today always worked great. But now my sound will just disappear or be all muffled, and the red stand by light will continue to stay on when tv is powered on or start to flicker. I still have good picture but can't figure out what's going on. I've unplugged it and all that jazz, did the reset, had Samsung support on phone and still nothing. It's unplugged again now and will let it be till tomorrow but if any one else has had this issue or has any ideas, I'd appreciate your input. Thank you very much.

Answer
To me this sounds like it needs repair.

Try the usual and power off, unplug it's HDMI connections and then pull the power plug for 10 minutes. Power up and test one input and hope that's it.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to reply. And yes, I think you are correct. I tried all that stuff out yesterday and after about 10-15 min of being back on, the issues reoccurred, except for the standby light. That continued to stay on from the start, and started the flicker after a couple minutes. It's been unhooked and unplugged over night and I'll go to try it again shortly, but in the mean time, I'm going threw the process of seeing if the company I bought it from will honour the extended warranty on it, and looking into repair shops in my area. But thanks again, and have a nice day.

Here in the USA, Samsung

Here Samsung either has their own repair system or a third party. If the extended warranty folk try to walk, don't hesitate to head to small claims court.

Well I plugged it in about an hour ago, and so far seems to be working right. Sound hasn't glitches out, and the red standby light is off while tv is on. Hope it continuesHappy
