Samsung un654h7150 / soundbar remote

by wet_one6 / September 8, 2014 5:30 AM PDT

I have a un65h7150 with an HW-H570 sound bar. right now it is connected via an optical cable so it will turn on automatically. I have the tv speakers off. and I'm controlling the volume with the sound bar remote
Is there anyway I can make the tv remote or even my cable remote control the volume? I bought a Samsung sound bar so I didn't need two remotes. now I seem stuck using two remotes.
I'm also going to buy a Samsung blu ray player. I hope I don't end up with three remotes.

With the sound bar connected with the optical cable, and auto power active the sound bar does power up when the tv turns on. however the volume can only be controlled with its own remote not the tv remote. there is the problem

The sound bar remove looks to be able to power up the TV, then that auto power kicks in the sound bar then the sound bar remove has channel up, down, input controls and of course volume control.

Sorry if I was unclear. If that's not acceptable, call Samsung for the talk.

Hi wet_one6,

For this feature to work you will need to have Anynet+ enabled on your TV. However, the TV and soundbar will need to be connected via HDMI.
