Question

Samsung UN60KU6300 dark patch bottom left of screen

I have this TV still under warranty but does anyone know why there is a strange dark discoloration on the bortom corner of the TV now? It's only very visible when the screen is grey or darker.

Has the screen been impacted?

If in warranty call it in, but be warned Samsung will swear it's user damage.

No kind of impact

In reply to: Has the screen been impacted?

Zero impact, I never touch the screen nor has anything never happened to it physically. I literally first noticed it just when watching Westworld last Sunday night. I called Samsung and they'll come out to look when I want to set an appointment, however they said they may charge a fee depending on the final verdict, but they haven't told me what the fee amount would. I just got this TV in June.

Overall it's not good. I wish you the best of luck. If no joy, insist on escalating it.

I googled this and

Not unusual it seems. "The television has a lot of issues with gray uniformity as corners are darker, black patches"... More at http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/ku6300

Frankly I'd try to return it before any repair since, well, it's not meeting your expectations.

Not a bad idea

In reply to: I googled this and

Wow I didn't think about just returning it. I got it at a Best Buy, I'll have to look into their return policy with TVs. I bought it in June so I have the Samsung warranty for a year but maybe a return to Best Buy could be a better route.
