Here in my state the estimate by law must be adhered to so this means estimates tend to always be on the high side. 13 months is indeed short of the mark.
I have had this tv for about 13 months as a replacement for another tv that gave out.Because my othr tv was under warranty they reimburst me the price I bought it for and I paid $250 more to get this one. The problem is that in the daytime when you turn it on it works fine but later on in the evening when we go turn it on it comes on for a few seconds and goes off except for the sound. If you unplug it it does the same thing.Explained this to Samsung tech. who had me try a bunch of things before telling me it is an internal issue and made an appointment with a repair man and for me to call him up to confirm and tell him what was wrong. After talking to repair person he told that I was probably looking at a bill at about $200.00 with a $50.00 deposit and diagnostic fee and depending what was wrong maybe more. Does not sound right and giving me an estimate before even seeing it sounds kind of high.My other tv lasted 8 years with no problems. They just did not have the part for it anymore.
