OK, I'm glad to hear you've tried some of the more basic steps like power cycling. Have you tried any of the following:
- Disconnecting all other video sources and attempting to replicate the behavior with over the air (OTA) TV
- Checking for a firmware update and trying the settings again: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/popup/iframe/pop_troubleshooting_fr.jsp?idx=168699&modelname=UN55ES6500F&modelcode=UN55ES6500FXZA
- Resetting the TV to factory deafults: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/supportOwnersHowToGuidePopup.do?howto_guide_seq=6790&prd_ia_cd=N0000058&map_seq=44746
Let me know if none of those work.
I just bought this TV and I'm experiencing some strange issues that I haven't been able to find a solution for doing a google or bing search.
I have two HDMI devices hooked up to it - my Moxi PVR and a PS3. When I try to switch to "movie" mode, the screen goes black for a few seconds, then comes up garbled and frozen.
It took a while to get the screen back as even power cycling didn't seem to help.
Also, when I try to turn on 3D mode, the screen again goes completely back for about 10 seconds, then comes back garbled and frozen.
In this "garbled and frozen" state, there will be a white cloud that gradually appears and starts filling up the screen.
This is such a weird issue I hope I'm describing it right.
Can anybody help with this?
