Basically we get to go over what a mkv avi file is and how we have to look inside to see the encoding and then see if that's in the product manual. Basically if the file does not play I always find it's not in the supported encoding.
My brand new out of the box Samsung UN55D6000 will not play most files that are on my HDD. I just had a UN55C6500 stolen from me and I bought this one to replace it. I have the chart and know what files are supported. I know they should play because they played on my old TV. It will only play certain .avi's. It will not play .mkv or mp4, both of which are supported and played on my old TV. I have tried factory resets and streaming through allshare. What gives?
