Question

Samsung UN55C7000WF repair.

May 9, 2016 1:05PM PDT

Hi, so recently my Samsung un55c700wf died. It would just click. I opened it up to discover that the connector on the powesupply board that holds the cable going from the power supply board (BN44-00376A) to the main board had somehow burnt. I bought a new power supply board but can't find that 18 pin cable that connect the two boards anywhere.

Answer
Try a few other places.

I can't know what country you are in but here we have:
samsungparts.com
shopjimmy.com
ebay.com

Also, a decent electronics tech might craft a new cable. It's a little more rare today but as a tech long ago I made countless cables over the years.

The connector itself isn't usable.

Its not just the cable, its also the connector thats not usable. I checked Samsungparts, eBay (don't know what to search, I searched model number and all that but no success).

Connectors?

Then I'm off to places like:
Digikey (most of these have a .com)
Jameco
Fry's
Sparkfun

Google Digikey Alternative for more ideas.

Now with that out of the way, maybe the board with the back connection is blown too? The tech time and cost may be more than that board.

And in parting, long ago I could remove the connector and solder the wires into the holes. Most cables are double ended so I convert such a thing into single ended in a pinch. I admit I've done that when on a service repair far out in the desert and it would be days to go back, order, wait and well, a hour of tech work would make do.
