I appreciate your support of Samsung products.
The 60Hz indicated on the INFO bar is telling you what the incoming signal is. Cable boxes, DVD players, Blu-Ray players, game consoles - all will come in at 60hz. Since you have a 240Hz panel, it should be assumed that the panel will process the signal to be a 240hz signal because it has to. A 240hz panel can't show a 60Hz native picture, so we know that the processing is happening because the panel is a 240Hz panel.
The angles can vary in picture quality if you go to extreme degrees, so I'm not sure why this is happening. The picture shouldn't not be clear. You might go back to your retailer to see if you experience the same symptom on the store's display.
I just bought SAMSUNG UN55B8000 TV from Sears and setup @ my home. The picture quality is very good. But I have noticed below
i) BDWise - 60 Htz , It is always showing 60 htz when I select source from Blue ray, Netflix, DVD... I could notice that frame moving slowly..when scene changes which I don't feel comfortable ? I tried turning on 240htz smooth motion,. But still not satisfied. Any experiences or thoughts?
ii) Viewing angle - When I sit @ 90 degree angle, I see that picture is kind of blur..i mean to say its not clear. This is my second day with this TV. trying to understand if there are any special settings. Please advise.
