The 60Hz indicated on the INFO bar is telling you what the incoming signal is. Cable boxes, DVD players, Blu-Ray players, game consoles - all will come in at 60hz. Since you have a 240Hz panel, it should be assumed that the panel will process the signal to be a 240hz signal because it has to. A 240hz panel can't show a 60Hz native picture, so we know that the processing is happening because the panel is a 240Hz panel.

The angles can vary in picture quality if you go to extreme degrees, so I'm not sure why this is happening. The picture shouldn't not be clear. You might go back to your retailer to see if you experience the same symptom on the store's display.
