SAMSUNG UN46C6400 - MOTION BLUR/GHOSTING PROBLEMS

Jan 3, 2011 4:40PM PST

recently bought this two weeks ago and have noticed some issues with motion blur, it gets really bad in low-light/dark scenes where peoples faces/head become heavily distorted.

i have tried messing with the settings but to tell you the truth i dont really notice the differece with the "motion plus" on or off aswell as messing with the blur/judder

or is it stuck this way/will this be an ongoing problem and a major drawback of an LEDTV with 120Hz.

if i do exchange the tv i am not sure what to get because i thought Samsung was a well rounded brand.

if anyone has a solution please let me know

thanks

Samsung Motion Blur

I purchased a UN55c6500 and have been dealing with this issue for months. Had service guys come out and they saw it. Was espically bad with Glee. Red blur around peoples faces. Saw with DVD player as well. Not so much with Blue Ray. This was driving me crazy. Have ATT-Uverse and drove them crazy. Anyway not an issue with signal. Store manager actually came to my house and saw it.

Anyway he said I could replace the TV but I figure I would see the same thing. Brought my DVD to the store and it happened there.

Bottom line I think it the TV. I think it is also an issue with 120HZ and pixel response time. Samsung doesn't list this but I went to Samsung online chat and found out that the Pixel Response time on the 6000 series is 6msec. On 7000/8000 series it's 3msec.

I couldn't get my money back and end up paying $800 more for the UN55C8000 240hz 3D. I thought about other models but I thought Samsung had the best reputation. I

I Was happy about this but so far it appears to fix the problem.

Do you have it connected to the Internet? Maybe future updates will fix the problem??

P.S. I have my eyes set on this TV but really hate "soup opera" motion in movies or motion judder.
