They not only have techs and manuals but spares they can swap in to find the bad part or parts.
Lightning damage can wipe out every board so you have to really think hard here. If the damage got to the panel then it's just not cost effective to repair. We know that all boards are suspect but in this case it can easily be all boards.
I'd dump this on Ebay as-is or at the recycle farm and go shopping.
I have a Samsung UN40EH5300FXZA Smart Tv that got damaged by lightning. It at first would only blink the standby light twice repeatedly, then I read to unplug the TV and hold down the power button so I tried that. After that when I plug in the TV the standby light is on solid, then when I press the power button on the TV the standby light goes off and nothing happens. During this time I can very faintly hear high pitch frequencies from around the power supply board. I bought a replacement board to no avail, it still does the exact same thing.
I’m looking for help on what to try next. My first instinct is to now replace the main board, but I don’t want to just be randomly replacing parts.
Thanks in advance,
