Which HDMI cables should I get for my new TV? HDMI 1.3 or 1.4?

Samsung UN40C6300 LED,

If the price difference isn't significant, I'd lean towards the 1.4 cables. 1.4 allows for an additional ARC (Audio Return Channel) port, which allows audio to transfer to an ARC enabled audio system. If you have one, or remotely think you might have one in the future, it might be good to have the latest. Since they are newer, however, they may be more expensive than 1.3.

There's nothing wrong with the HDMI 1.3 standard at this point in time, and you'd do well going either way.

Thank you, I'll get the 1.4 as I like to try to keep ahead of technology. Danette
